Lamborghini has announced the upcoming release of an electric model, which is set to debut in 2025. Although it won't be a supercar like the Huracans or the Revuelto, it also won't be an SUV, contrary to what one might expect given current trends.
Instead, the brand's CEO has confirmed that the new electric model will be a 4-seater GT, filling a gap in the brand's range that has been present for several decades.
Lamborghini has previously mentioned its interest in developing a more practical model for everyday use, as evidenced by the Estoque sedan and the Asterion coupé concepts that were presented before the launch of the Urus SUV.
While most supercar manufacturers are hesitant to embrace all-electric technology due to their strong ties to traditional engines, Lamborghini is preparing for the transition and hopes to release its first electric model in the next few years.
