Toyota Boost Prius Production

Earlier this year, Toyota, along with many automakers across the world, reduced its factory output in order to sell of already produced vehicles before manufacturing any more.  Well, those factories are back in business, for Toyota at least, due to the incredibly high demand for the company’s recently released 2010 Prius.

The company has declined to comment on whether the amount of demand has caused the factories to start working overtime, but it has been confirmed that the factories are at least back to their old production levels.  Toyota had originally planned to produce around 42,000 new Prius vehicles every month, and they had a reported 80,000 orders for the vehicle at its introduction earlier this month.  Reports now indicate that the amount of orders has increased to 110,000 and that the company will boost monthly production to 50,000.  The Prius is currently wildly popular in Japan because of its impressive mileage ratings and the generous tax credits from the Japanese government for purchasing hybrid or electric vehicles.Cemetery Gates ipod
